Q. When I start pCrawler I get an error saying ws2-32.dll not found.
This error occurs when pCrawler is run on a computer with Windows95 without the updated winsock dll. You can download the Winsock2 update for Windows 95 by clicking here. Installing the update will resolve the issue.

Q. I found a really cool site that I want to crawl, how can I add it to pCrawler.
The list of sites that pCrawler displays is kept in a file called tgp.ini. By default this file is saved in the directory c:\program files\cruxworks, inc\pcrawler. Alternatively, you can email the website to support@pcrawler.com and we'll add the site to our master list which can be downloaded from the "Begin Dialog".

Q. I keep getting 10055 errors, what does that mean and how can I fix it?
The 10055 WSAENOBUFS error is a winsock error which means "No buffer space available". This error indicates a shortage of resources on your system. It can occur if you're trying to run too many applications (of any kind) simultaneously on your machine. If it persists, exit Windows or reboot your machine to remedy the problem. Try running pCrawler without any other applications running. Also, you may want to try decreasing the number of Threads that pCrawler runs from the Begin Dialog. You can monitor available memory with Program Manager's "Help/About..." command.

Q. pCrawler won't "remember" my username and/or password?
If pCrawler can't log you in or, if you are using the 'guest' username and password, pCrawler will automatically unselect the "remember" option in the registration dialog. This is done to keep from locking you out of the software permanently.

Q.Why the hell did you guys change to a subscription pricing model?
We're so glad you asked this question!

Recently, VISA implemented a new policy that requires companies like pCrawler to pay $750 up front and $375 per year to continue accepting VISA (MasterCard is changing its policy this year (2003)). Although we do not agree with their policy, after trying for several months to come up with an alternative (and after Paypal's recent abandonment of the adult industry) we feel we are left with no other choice than to change our pricing structure. We hate it but, the decision had to be made as to either change our pricing or quit supporting the software. Obviously, we decided to stick around.
